Greenwich Village Anti-Expansionists Submit To NYU’s Halloween Contest, Probably Won’t Win
NYU is holding a contest to design this year’s ‘Halloween Parade cloth tote trick or treat bag.’ This is historical preservation group GVSHP’s submission. No $500 NYU Bookstore giftcard for them. Plenty of blog cred, though.
So much irony in this submission! I think this is a good time for everyone to think about land rights claims of New Yorkers whilst keeping in mind that NYC was once home to American Indians before colonialist expansion.
